My endo says that the 'normal levels' are tainted meaning that they are actually lower than what is accepted. His explanation is that with upwards to 10% of women suffering with pcos then 10% of the sample must have pcos there for making the 'normal levels' too high. It makes sense to me. BTW... my endo spends half his day as in drug research and did some of the first clinical trials in using insulin reducers to treat pcos. I trust what he says since he has devoted his practice to it.
