For Lesley Re: soft drinks in the uk? - saccharine?

Hi,

I am in the UK and on met. 100mg/day. Why should we not drink on met (apart from the low carb thing); why should certain alcoholic drinks be okay; and why should alcohol affect someone so quickly including the rapid hangover?

I'm very confused. Thanks for any help you may be.
