kari, are your glucose levels normal? above normal glucose can cause increased yeast infections. if they are persistant you need to see a doctor. yeast lives in all of us, but when our glucose levels are abnormal (even a little, but more often a lot) the yeast has more to feed on, so therefore becomes harder to control. it is normal for women to get yeast infections from time to time, but ones that last after being medicated or that are constantly reoccurring need to be examined.
