Dear Kari, I just wanted to let you know that you for sure are not the only one in that boat. It seems as though I had them all the time til I had a Dr to give me some pointers on what to/not to do. I don't know if it will work for everyone but he gave me this advice saying that it should work for most women with PCOS and IR. Do not douche. He told me that your body is very sensitive and if you "wash" out either too much "good" or "bad" bacteria in the vagina, that you will develop yeast infections. The Drs call it Bacterial Vaginosis. We are suppose to have some type of a balance in "good" and "bad" bacteria for our vaginal bacteria to remain in good balance. When these get out of balance it causes yeast infections and odors. I use to could not stand the thought of not douching but believe me when I say, I do not have the yeast infections but about every 4-6 months now, opposed to having them alllllll the time. Also, when you are washing, do not get the soap into your vaginal opening. Make sure that you only get the soap on the outside of yourself. Wear cotton panties or ones with cotton lining. If you sweat alot, change your undies if they get moisure in them. Kari, these are only a few things that might could help you but it is worth a try! They worked for me.
