wow... too bad that don't put THAT on the diet coke can!!!

i wondered if my sky high 17-hyroxyprogesterone (adrenal origin) had something to do with my sky high diet coke consumption... but i didn't really want to admit that little vice to my doc. i was kind of afraid i'd be told to just stop drinking the diet coke, and not offered any other treatment... when i knew that couldn't be the sole cause of my problems as i had slight signs BEFORE beginning drinking so much diet coke... and i know lots of women who drink lots of diet coke and do not have PCOS.

my hope was to get the glucohphage... cut out the diet coke... and pray for more normal blood work in a few months.

i will be getting a repeat blood draw if/when my period shows up... i will have been diet coke free for well over a month by then. hopefully, the 17-hp will be more normal. (my other adrenal hormones were fine, oddly... semi-ruling out suspiscion of CAH... but the possibility is still there, and i will be checked for it if my 17-hp is still high.)

i just hope any damage the diet coke has done isn't irreversible. my body must be so happy these days not to have the stress of all that caffeine!!!!!

my suspiscions on the evils of diet coke are becomming more and more confirmed... and to think, i once believed drinking all that caffeine would speed up my metabolism and make me thinnner!!!!!!
