Re: Is it safe to continue Electrolysis while Pregnant? From: Diane (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Feb 2001 10:03:35 -0800 (PST)
Hi, my name is Diane and I am a Certified Professional Electrologist. I have had my certification now for 15 years and I just wanted to reply to your post. I have worked on women who were pregnant and there were no problems incurred by the treatments. I would suggest that you only have treatment in the area you spoke about in your post (the facial area). I would not have any work done in the mid-body area! I would suggest another thing...if you tollerate the treatments well then I would continue, but if you cringe and have a painful time with it then if I were you I would stop treatments til you are no longer PG. This is due to the fact that you don't want to put any stress on you because it will seem to pass to the baby. I hope this helps. God bless you .
