I really like the way you wrote this. It's a great short article to show anyone in my life so that they could understand what I'm dealing with, but without feeling 'sorry' for me. I like that you made insulin resistance front and center because the name polycystic ovarian syndrome is so misleading. Even to ourselves. I always thought I had a 'female' problem. I really have a metabolic problem and I want to always think of it in those terms. My only suggestion is that you refer to PCOS and IR as a serious 'disease.' It has been my understanding that this should not be classified as a disease, but a condition or a syndrome.
