jodi,

i am in no way posting this to suggest that you give up your vegetarianism. in my opinion that is a personal choice that i have no business interfering with. however i did want you to know that the hormones in the meat you eat are not going to effect you in any way. why you ask? because like everything else we eat the hormones in the meat are broken down in the digestive system into thier base components. hormones are proteins. we cannot use animal proteins in the form we consume them in. proteins are made of amino acids. in our bodies when we eat these hormones, they are broken down into their base amino acids and then these amino acids are used in our bodies. it is the same with everything we eat. dont fear the hormones. its ok, they will not cause any effects.
