Hi anonymous :) You're doing the right thing for your body by being on
Metformin and doing anything else you can to lower your insulin levels,
it sounds as though you have very good doctors. You might also want to
look into low carbing to help reduce them further. One of the side
effects of lowering your insulin levels is that you have a better shot
at restoring fertility. There's no definite answers but I will say that
it sounds promising to most women. Stay on the meds for a while and eat
well, then go back and try the fertility thing again with Clomid etc. It
has worked for a number of women with PCOS so there is definitely hope!
As an aside, my endo recently told me (but this is second hand so take
it with a grain of salt) that if drugs like Provera do not work to
induce a period, he suspects adrenal problems. It might be something to
look into or ask your doctor about!
