Trying for a baby?From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 22 Feb 2001 16:20:12 -0600 (CST)
I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with PCOS after trying for a baby for some time. I had Clomid several times without success when I had a laparoscopy and dye test which showed my PCOS and luckily open tubes. Then I tried 2 cycles of FSH injections which also didn't work. In May last year I had my ovaries drilled because it was thought the ovary wall was too thick for the eggs to get out. Months passed without pregnancy and tests showed I had ovulated once in 4 months. I was signed off the NHS and was told i'd needed IVF treatment. I was two weeks away from my ovulation induction treatment when I found out on new years eve I was pregnant. One week after that I was scanned and found that quite naturally I was expecting twins (I dunno, you wait for years for one and two turn up at the same time!). Don't give up people, if you're going through it please ask about ovarian drilling. It sounds primative but in my case its worked and it might for you too. In total it took 5 years for me to concieve so don't give up.
