Re: Metformin - What should I expect?

Kate,

It seems that everyone is different when it comes to Met, but for me it has been a real God-send. I felt different immediately. Happier, less anxietal, more understanding, and less interested in food. Just not craving the same things I did before. I do not try to eat healthy and I don't exercise, but I've lost about 15lbs in 7 months. I'm sure I could lose more if I tried, but I'm not quite mentally prepared to go down that road again.

As for my periods, I do seem to be getting them with more regularity, although I have a lot of spotting before and after the actual flow. My next mission is to find an RE to help me figure that side of things out.

By the way, I've worked up to 2000mg and have been taking it since 7/00. My periods didn't start evening out until about 11/00.

Don't know if I'm ovulating, but I feel sooooo much better.

Good Luck! Cassandra

P.S. Do a search on the archives and you'll find a ton of info on Met. ;-)
