I am probably jumping the gun a bit here, but my gynae has mentioned this drug to me and I think it is his intention to prescribe it even if my scan shows no cysts. If he does - what should I expect? I am desperate above all else to feel well - even on my good days there is a nagging feeling of not being quite right - tiredness, vague nausea, abdominal discomfort. Secondly, I am desperate to lose weight - I am obese and it is soul destroying. With these two priorities in mind - what will Metformin hopefully do for me? And if it isn't suitable for me, what alternatives are there? Thanks to all those who replied to my previous messages - I am feeling so much more optimistic now that I know that an explanation can be found for what I am going through and that I am not the only person who has to live with symptoms like these.
