200 mg ClomidFrom: Michele (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 15 Feb 2001 15:04:45 -0800
Hi Everyone! I am kind of new to this (not PCOS) - but this group and wanted some more info. I have taken 200 mg of clomid for last 2 months - and lesser doses for the 6 months before that. My last u/s showed crappy eggs - so the MD suggested next time (if I am not pregnant this time) - to try met and 100 mg of clomid. I hate clomid - and I hate how it makes me feel - and wonder if we could just skip it and go to something else. What is the something else?? What have other people done - or is this just the next way to go. I told him I hate clomid and the side effects - and he said he would take the dosage down - but maybe I just shot myself in the foot. Maybe I should be on 200 again in combination with the Met. I asked him - as I was concerned about the high dosage - and the PDR says not to go as high as 200. Have other people gone this high?? I hate all this "what if" stuff. ARRRRRRRGH!!! It alone is enough to drive me crazy!! Also - what weight loss programs have been effective for you? I know it differs between each person - but is everyone basically using the low carb idea?? Are you going as strict as the Atkins one?? That seems rather harsh - and to me it does not seem that it would be a great idea for people trying to conceive. My MD did not say I needed to lose weight - but I have put on about 30 lbs since I went off the pill about a year ago! YIKES!!!!! Thanks for all your advice - in advance (haha)! This is a great place - and I never knew there were so many people out there like me!!!! Michelle
