Jodi,

Don't give up yet! Some people have take a year and a half or more to see any big change in their cycle on met -some never do. Met isn't a magic bullet. It is not necessarily going to regulate your periods- although SOME women find that to be a nice side effect of regulating their insulin. Since you are not seriously overweight the changes could be small enough that you won't notice them. Your body will just be doing the insulin thing more efficiently with less wear on your pancreas, not a visible effect.

Nothing about this illness is instant, at least nothing good. No such thing as instant weight loss, hormone regulation etc...
