Re: Question's on ovulation/periodsFrom: Brenda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 11 Feb 2001 18:09:34 -0600 (CST)
One way to see if you are ovulating is to monitor your body temperature. If you take your temperature first thing in the morning, every morning at about the same time and you chart it, you should see a jump in your temperature after you ovulate. This raise in temperature should continue until you menstruate (the time from ovulation to menstruation is the luteal phase) and then drop back down. There are some other signs to look for, such as egg whitish cervical mucous. A great book that sets forth all of this information in an extremely helpful manner is Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni W. (sorry, I forgot her last name). You can order it from Barnes & Noble off the internet.
