Hi, I too have had the whole bleeding problem. I bled for almost 3
years straight. Of course it was light to heavy but it was non stop. I
started having the huge clots and serious accidents and tried to find a
doctor to do a hysterectomy on me to stop the bleeding. Well, I found a
wonderful doctor in Dallas, TX and she has been helping me alot. She
put me on Progestin to stop the bleeding and has diagnosed me with PCOS.
The high amount of bleeding was due to Hyperplasia. A serious condition
if left untreated leads to Uterine Cancer. My Hyperplasia is gone. I
have been without a period for over a year. She has taken me off the
progestin and I am on Glucophage XR. I am feeling much better. I have
lost 67 pounds and now weigh 300. I am still losing of course. I drink
a lot of water too. That helps as a natural diuretic. That has helped
my bloating, but I am still apple shaped. I am sure that by staying on
Glucophage for a year or longer, my apple shape should change. This is
what I have read anyway. I know what you're going through. Get medical
help soon and insist on having an insulin resistance test done too.
Your pal, Lisa D.
