Re: Advice Please

Jodi, my Dr. an infertility specialist, is not the least bit interested in this as far as I can tell. I just started seeing him for infertility treatment. (I saw a different Dr. last year who found no cysts during two months or ovulation monitoring) The new Dr. seemed surprised to see the cysts since I don't "fit the profile" but said that this wasn't anything to be too concerned about. To date he has not suggested I get any treatment or further testing and he plans to start me on injectables in the next week or so.

I have been doing some research on PCOS and Syndrom X and am very confused. While I don't think I fully fit the PCOS diagnosis I do have the cysts some of the characteristics.

Should I see an endocrinologist? I am worried that my fertility treatment will be compromised if I start seeing another doctor. We have been ttc for 2 years and at my age can't afford to wait any longer.

By the way, those hormone results are now 8 months old. Could my body have totally chnaged since then?

I really appreciate all your advice.
