Hi there,

I am 24 from Poland. Recently, I have learned that I have PCOS. There is no much info here about PCOS and I am very happy that I have found this web side. In Poland, doctors seem do not understand that PCOS is a big problem for a woman and I don't even want to say how difficult for me it was to find a doctor who will diagnose me and will try to help me. Fortunately, now I have found one, who seems to know what is PCOS and she has sent me for some blood tests etc. I should have my blood taken next week but I want to start treatment as soon as possible. I have read that exercises and low carb diet are advice for women with PCOS. Could you please tell me why? Is it just to help loss some weight or there are other reasons? I love exercising and I do it almost every day but I love bread, rice, and everything else what a person on low carb diet shouldn't even think of. On the other hand I hate meat, eggs with bacon etc. If low carb diet is just to help women with PCOS to loss weight I don't think I have to consider starting it. I am 5.3 tall and have 119 pounds so I am not too big :-))). But if it is useful for other reasons like exceeded body hair, irregular menstruation I will consider starting it. Please advise………
