Hi Lynette, First off, I understand about your heavy bleeding. I went through YEARS of it with only small breaks in between. It's so odd that most women with PCOS experience seldom or absent periods while few others, like myself, bleed CONSTANTLY and always very heavy. Team that up with anemia (to begin with) and recently Dx Hyoglycemia and think of how _I_ feel! lol As far as the bloatedness, yes, I am the SAME WAY. My ankles are always so swollen with water now they ache constantly---even when laying or sitting down. My breasts are also often sore as is my tummy and hip areas. My mom taught me this test to see if you're retaining water---sit with your legs horizontal (stretched out like lying down) and press a spot on your leg. If it leaves an indent, you're retaining water. I never knew about this, and sure enough---it works! Some days are better than others, but my ankles are ALWAYS swollen. My socks have to be stretched in that pivot between the foot/ankle just to get them over my feet and fit without being constrictive. It's really becoming a pain. I don't know if there is some way to get rid of all the excess water and bloated feeling, but when I spoke to my Dr. about it, she simply ignored me. Didn't even recognize that I spoke to her. God forbit if I drink a glass of water!! OH NO!! I bloat up even more. That's why I stick to juice (not soda). Hopefully there are some answers out there that may help us with this, so far I haven't seen any though. :( But at least I know what you're going through.
