Re: stupid question about diane35From: jodi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Jan 2001 13:24:33 -0600 (CST)
ummmm... i am unclear as to what you wuld have had to wait another month for... when i have been on the pill, there were directions for "sunday start" and "first day start," i believe. sunday start means you start the pack the sunday after your period starts. this could be the 2nd day, it could be the 4th day, whatever. (i forget what you do if your period starts ON a sunday... i think you start that day.) for first day start, you start the pack on the first day of your period. sunday start, in theory, gives you "weekends off" meaning you wouldn't have your period over a weekend. in reality, for me, i would stop the pills on a saturday, not get my period until wednesday, and ALWAYS have my period on a weekend. in time, i created the "wednesday start" which gave me a perod on sundays, freeing me for the following weekend. who cares about sunday? it's friday and saturday nights that matter. :) i would take the sunday pill on a wednsday, and take the remaining 27 pills in the same 3-days-later fashion. your body has no clue what day of the week your pill pack says it is. SO. based on THAT, if i were you, i would _not_ take 5 pills less... i would just make sure to always start your pack on the same day of the week you started this last pack on (starting with the first pill, not the pill for that weekday... just remember how many days off your pill taking will be accordingly.) it should be fine. keep in mind though, i'm no doctor... i'm just saying what i did, and what worked for me. i also have no experience with diane 35 - we don't have it here in the states. i took the ortho pills... but that shouldn't matter much. other ladies, feel free to correct me here... 0- jodi
