First, Ithink you took a big step coming to the board. My bf could give a rats a*& about my condition. Secondly, be patient. For women with ir, low carb appears to be the answer. But speaking through experience the last thing I need is some one to be my food "coach". It was irritating and I would only rebel. The same may go for her. I believe she will eventually make the decision of feeling healthy or crappy. You cant make it for her (although I know how badly you do!) Like stated earlier, it takes time. Meds, diet, exercise all may take a little time to kick in. Maybe you should consider changing your eating habits or doing some activities. It may help if you did these things together. I know the one thing I hated was when my bf would tell me what to eat, how to exercise, etc... but he would sit around eating chips and doing crap all day. you know what I mean? Stuff like that makes a cyster bitter! Anyway, I think you are doing a great thing just coming here. I am pretty sure many women here cant say their hubby paid a visit to the board(I know i cant!) Bottomline-be patient and practice what you preach

PS Before I forget...I want to reitterate(sp) what was said earlier. Remind her she is in power over her life and health care and that she deserves only the best doctors. We all do and we sometimes gotta get bitchy to find em! Aint nothin wrong with that!
