confused! Are there 'types' of pcos?

Hi all!

Hope I'm not being a pest here.

I'm confused about how everything works here, with this disease.

Is it possible to have a version of pcos that manifests itself more in the adrenals?

I was diagnosed with pcos due to a serum testostorone of 102 and a high normal dhea.

I also have borderline hypoglycemia, but not insulin resistance. Possibley a precursor though?

I'm a normal weight. (not really over or under) and have always had my periods on time.

I'm also pretty muscley, have whiskers, and most recently hair loss (the thing that bothers me the most!). These are all symptoms of hyperadrenalism. But I'm almost positive my mom has PCOS too, because she has the weight issues as well as everything else. And also used to have a regular cycle. (pre endometrial cancer though). Can I inherit a different version? Or maybe I'm just at a different phase?

Doctor isn't helping me understand this any better and the reading I've been doing, is just confusing me more. I do have another apt. with a new doc. But that's in Feb and it's to get a refferal to an RE. Long time to wait!

I know that everything is connected, so if one organ is affected, then everything else reacts as well. Is it possible that my syndrome is just manifesting itself mostly in my adrenals?

I'm thinking of bugging my new docs about testing this.

I was just hoping that someone here might let me know if this is a possiblilty. I've seen a lot of women here mentioning adrenals and hypoglycemia and am uncertain of how exactly they fit into the picture, if at all.

Hope I'm not being a pest here! - K
