Hair loss and Metformin...Will it help?

I am 33 and have been trying to conceive for 1-1/2 years. (I am blessed to have a 6 year old daughter) which my new Infertility Dr. told me was a fluke ovulation.

He just started me on Metformin. Will this help with my hair loss? I used to have very thick hair and now it seems that just within the past few weeks, I have less than half of what I used to have. I have near bald patches on my temples and Im doing the "comb-over" with my bangs (more like wispies now), to cover them.

Will my hair continue to fall out on this medication? Will the bald patches ever fill in again? Will giving up on having another child and going back on the pill give me my hair back? I have noticed some facial hair...and I will gladly take that and acne over hair loss and bald patches any day! Please let me know your hair experiences!! I am new here and cannot believe how depressed this syndrome can make you.

THANKS!!
