some questions/doc in Philly

Hi Everyone, I can't tell you all how helpful this site is to me. I have probably had PCOS for about 12 years and finally was diagnosed. One thing I don't understand is that my glucose/insulin tests show that I am not IR. I do have cystic ovaries, and some of the symptoms (absolutely never get a period unless on bc or take provera, hair growth, sharp pains in ovary area), but others I do not have (not overweight, haven't lost hair). So, where then, if I don't have IR, is the PCOS coming from? Also, is there anyone out there who is NOT IR, but has taken glucophage (I am reading here and elsewhere it still may be helpful even if you're not IR), and if so has it helped with getting periods back? (With this whole thing I'm most terrified of the endometrial cancer connection). Also, does anyone know of a good doc in the Philadelphia area, that is both knowledgeable and importantly easy to talk to? Thanks so much everyone. You are truly some remarkable people on this site.
