Hi Madison, Yes, the clotting is VERY normal. I had the same thing, and I constantly bleed, so it's not just occurring in women who don't have their period regularly. There isn't anything, (that I know of) to stop it. It probably happened for you because for 4 months, your endometrium has been building up and you haven't had a period to shed it. For me, there has been no explanation. You'll need to get the test results back before continuing about medication, but there are different meds prescribed for different symptoms. The most common are Metformin/Glucophage for insulin problems, and Spironolactone to prevent further outbreaks of the facial hair, acne and hair loss. Find out the results first, and go from there. You might not need any meds--it depends on what the tests say. Good luck.
