Re: AcneFrom: Zowie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 16 Jan 2001 20:54:51 -0600 (CST)
Hi Kris, I thought that women with PCOS who have the acne problem have it pretty much EVERYWHERE, like me. Other than my feet, I get acne everywhere. Legs, thighs, tummy, breasts, neck, face, arms (all over), my bottom, even my earlobes! I don't look like "pizza face", but it is getting bothersome. Especially the ones on my face. They cluster and are usually near my mouth or nose---ane I use a medicated scrub from St. Ives every time I shower. I also like to use Clean N Clear foaming facial wash--when I have the $$. Not that it's expensive (about $3 max), I never have enough left over from payday to get any. We can afford groceries after the bills, gas for the vehicles and that's it. The funny thing is, my face gets "tight" because it's so dry it flakes, yet every now and then, it's oily. I don't get it. My skin, overall, is so dry that it cracks and is VERY itchy and painful--especially on my hands. My elbows and knees have always been rough, but it's really starting to hurt now. Perhaps the dermatologist can prescribe something for the dryness and pain. I just have to make the appt. finally. Sorry that doesn't answer your question, but I have acne EVERYWHERE except my feet. Is that still a PCOS thing, or is it just me??
