i used to work for The Limited, which owns Layne Bryant and Romans. I have been to many internal fashion shows there. In company ones. I can tell you from personal experience, that The Limited and all of their affiliates (Victoria's secret, Victorias secret catalogue, Romans, Layne Bryant, structure< etc etc) are all very weight aware. They style their clothes based on what they think will be popular and look good on heavier women. At no meeting i attended, at no show i attended, no lunch, no marketing seminar, no sales breifing...and these are internal functions, not for consumer ears, at no time were heavier women disparaged or discounted as "merely sales numbers." i have personally seen then discard clothing that DID look good on a size 10 model because they didn't feel it could be converted to a larger size and have the same effect. While i do not shop there often anymore (i lost my discount =) i do recommend their clothing.

love, paula
