I have been suffering from PCOS,Interstitial Cystitis and Fibromyalgia for years and years undiagnosed. Diagnosed-It's been about two years. All my life I have weighed 100 lbs. At 5'2", that's pretty good! Anyway, about 2 years ago I my weight started ballooning (as you all know), I started noticing hair growth that women aren't supposed to have. I got up to 205lbs. in less than 8 months before I was finally diagnosed. I am now down to 168lbs. thanks to Glucophage! But, I am still very miserable. I hate the way I look. I can't stand to go out anymore. I feel so ugly and freakish. I am 28 and on disability for all of the reasons listed above. As well, as depression. Most recently I found out that I had a prolapsed uterus, cystocele and rectocele. I am about to have major surgery in February. In order to correct all of those problems-I have to have a hysterectomy. Because of my PCOS and the increased risk of diabetes (it runs in my family) My doctor has agreed to take out my ovaries as well. Of course, that can lead to other things. I'm going nuts! I just want to be normal! I am a single mother of two and feeling very sorry for myself! :(
