Justine, At my first visit, after talking and sharing history, I was given 2 injections of progesterone to induce my period. After 6 days my cycle started and I was able to take the Clomid starting on cycle day 5. My dr set up a Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) for that month as well. It showed my fallopian tubes were all clear. We started IUI that same cycle. After it did not work that cycle and I got my period, they ran my progesterone bloodwork and it was low (a sign that I did not ovulate). They upped my clomid to 100 mg for future cycles. Make sure they give you frequent ultrasounds while taking clomid. My doc does one during cycle day 1-5, and then later does one (or more) to measure my follicles if I haven't Lh surged by day 15. My body never surges until day 18 it seems....it seems very late to me...does anyone else surge that late?
