I don't know if it can be stopped now it has started, but I would guess that by Friday it would be almost over, and not too messy. If you are going to your doc you could ask if it can be stopped. If not, and you don't fancy it being messy, you could arrange a really romantic night for when it does stop. ( Whenever I get af - we always arrange a really romantic night for when it has gone!)
