new, confused and questions?From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 10 Jan 2001 09:48:45 -0600 (CST)
Hi, i'm 28 almost 29 and before Christmas I was diganosed with PCOS. I have had two children in the last four years with one miscarriage. I had no problems conceiving. My miscarriage was due to the lupus anticolaguant or so they thought. I came off the pill becuase it was making me dizzy, nasuaus, and migraines. All of this started two years ago after my second child. Since comming off the pill I rarely get periods. Also I have gained about 70 extra pounds and just working out isn't shedding the pounds. I was told to follow the ADA diet, I've met with the dietician and this seems fine. I am currently waiting to see a gyn. with a speciality in endocrinology. If I never had problems before, why the sudden onset? What does it mean? How do I lose weight? My dr. mentioned that after I see the specialist I'll probably go on mediciation possibly Metaformin(?). I'd love to correspond with some other people regarding this. My kids are almost 4, and 2.5. Also does anybody else have any other autoimmune problems going on at the same time. I seem to have atleast two other autoimmune problems. All seem to have come on in the last five years? I was curios if they are connected. Sorry this is so long, Have a great day! Lexion
