Re: 32 with pcos and can't get pregnantFrom: Justine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 9 Jan 2001 18:14:51 -0600 (CST)
A close friend of mine went on clomid for the max amount of months, she responded well(LOL-even though its not funny its just so damn funny...bad sense of humor i guess) she also had those injections to boost it along, i dont know what their called, anyway, no pregnancy!! she did the injections only thing for months(til maxed) and no pregnancy. in the middle of it all she had one tube and ovary removed. ok so she maxed everything and didn't go for the ivf...long story short, a year after stopping all the fertility meds she was pregnant with a baby boy. What is the point of my story? What the hell is goin on?? Thats my point. I am going to the dr for the first time for anovulation on monday with my fiance, I dont know what they will say, i think it will be that i have pcos, regardless i will probably be put on clomid and told to take pills, wait, have sex, wait, take pills wait...etc...I read an article that said 80% of women on clomid ovulate, 50% get pregnant(within 6 months). hmm is it 50% of the 80% or 50% of the 100%? And whichever it is...lets get down to the nitty gritty of it all. Am I going to get pregnant? Dammit I wanna baby!! Why is it that i see that 50% get pregnant but I have never met any of those women? Where are they? Why can't they share their story? How long did it take? The whole 6months? Did anyone conceive the first month? I was born to raise my own child!! I believe that...I am sure you do too. Somebody better make it possible or give me one damn good reason why it isn't. And if i respond, and am not pregnant then what the hell good is it that i responded, i didn't respond to what i wanted to respond to. I think I will go home and start throwing dishes!! OK long letter of frustration but I just don't understand how we look at this optimistically. But you probably can help me, how did your appointments go? The first one was basically talking and things, how long or how many times did you see a dr before they gave you clomid?
