Hi all - posted here before and always got good info. Hoping for more.

I just found out I have pcos.

I finally was diagnosed after going to a new obgyn for my hairloss. Which incidently started after I went on Ortho Try Cyclene and got extremely worse after about 3 months on Levlite.

I quit the Levlite for a couple weeks and after I got my period, things seemed to start to calm down slightly.

Well now I'm on Mircette and 100mg of Aldactone a day. I'm now into about my 6th week.

The problems. Started out a week off in my cycle. Thought that the answer was to go right to the next back, skipping the inactive pills and then I'd get my period on time the next month.

My hairloss seems to be worse before and during a period so I thought I could sidestep it this month.

No such luck. Still got my pms symptoms on time then felt like I should be having a period physically but wasn't the next week. Then last week (a week late) I started to spot and it got heavier this weekend and is now back down to spotting (now into week two of a late period on active pills)

Now my hairloss is worse, my depression was worse (let up a little yesterday) and I'm getting night sweats! I also think my skin is getting a little worse.

Now I've only been on this thing for 6 weeks and it's supposed to be one of the least androgenic pills.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth sticking out. Maybe I haven't given it enough time?

I just talked to my doctor and he wants me to stick it out. I don't think he believes that the bcps were the original culprit, but as you can understand, I don't agree and it's got me skeptical about all of them now.

Anyone who can share their experiences with me, I'd really appreciate it.

thanks - k
