I went through the same thing with doctors basically dismissing my questions or things I'd printed off the web and brought in to the office with me. My suggestion, rather than trying to prove your doctor wrong, is find one who will listen to you. Good luck to you. You're at the beginning of a hard road. Even once you find the right doctor, there will be so many other things to sort out and deal with.
