Re: CURED! To KimFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 5 Jan 2001 20:52:43 -0600 (CST)
Ovarian drilling is a procedure they do to reduce the number of cysts on an ovary. As far as I know, they zap about 10-12 cysts on the ovaries with a laser. It is painless and is usually done during a lap. For more support related to hysters, I would recommend that you check out http://www.hystersisters.com They have a lot of pre and post op info as well as many discussion boards that you can ask your questions. It is one of most supportive sites that I have visited - I still check in from time to time. Feel free to e-mail me personally for support or if you have any more questions. There doesn't seem to be many of us out there that have PCOS and hysters. I'm sure there are more out there dealing with the same issues as you and I. Best of luck to you in whatever you decide.
