Hi there H.Nicole
I was diagnosed when i was 19, i'm now 29. I have only ever had one
period naturally and that was when i was 17. I was on Dianette for 8
years and now dont take anything. I dont have the excess hair that is a
common symptom but i do struggle to keep the weight off. I was 13 stone
when i was diagnosed and was told that weight loss would help. I have
since lost 4 stone and there has been no difference-not a period in
sight. I always hope for that show of blood that everyone else dreads
each month. I am married now and hope to start a family after next year
(when I finish college).
The doctors i have spoken to about it in the past have never appeared to
be concerned about the condition so I guess its something i have to live
with. Fertility may be a hurdle but i will cross that one when it
comes. Life has enough hurdles without adding more!
Take care
