Hon, it was not my intention to scare anybody, I was trying to raise awareness. Get the ultrasound, a ct scan, and a laproscopic biopsy before even thinking of a hysterectomy. If there is a problem with just one ovary, the cyst, etc can probably be removed with no problems. I am 45, do not WANT children, and had tumors in BOTH ovaries, badly infected tubes due to this and god knows what else, fibroids, and a dermal tumor on my uterus. I had no need for the girly guts, which is why, when there appeared to be a good risk of cancer, I opted to remove it all. Not all women even IF they have ovarian cancer have to go the whole route, many just lose part of one, or one ovary, or do chemo or radiation instead to buy them time to have children if they are young and desire this. Your doctor is on the right track. Enlargement is normal with PCOS, (cysts cause enlargement!) and she is doing the next step to better identify the problem. Try to relax and don't stress too much.

Maggie Weber....

If I have had a hysterectomy, does it mean I no longer have PCOS?
