PCOS i'm almost 20, all new to meFrom: H.Nicole (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 30 Dec 2000 02:05:14 -0600 (CST)
My Dr. just told me over the phone that i am very likely to have polycysitic ovary synd., i have never heard of this and i havent had a period in a year, so i got a PAP and some blood work done...my testoserone levels were high while my progesterones were low, well, PCOS is new to me and i am not sure of the amount of danger it holds or anything and i'd really love some comments on this just b/c of the weirdness of it all, i dont know what to expect an all. well, diabetes runs in my family, and i am gettin my insulin levels checked on thurs.of next week, i'm praying that i don't have that, also i know it is a symptom. Let's see, what else, if anyone can answer this Q=..would the Dr. do a vaginal or external sonogram to check for cysts??? i'm just curious.....and also , another Q=Is this a dangerous thing to have? and fertility, i pray that i can have children. thank u to all who read this or reply, yours truly H.Nicole
