*Many thanks* to all who replied with advice and support, it was much appreciated, and it has encouraged my wife to consider her condition a shared one rather than some wrath bestowed only on her.

As a result we have managed to track down 'dermablend' products in the UK, and hope now to have a happier Xmas than expected.
