Dear Chris, First of all, I think it si great that you are trying to find help to understand how your wife is feeling, that is really nice. From what you have written it is difficult to tell if your wife may have PCOS or not. Many different things cause irregular periods and acne. It is aldo possible she has depression from what you describe. PCOS is unable to be diagnosed by ultrasound alone, blood tests for hormone levels are also required. I feel that once a person has a diagnosis of what is wrong with them, things can start getting better, no matter what the condition is. PCOS isn't curable, but it is treatable. I hope the scan is able to igve you some idea of whats going on. try to have aMerry Xmas! Love Emma
