Couldn't agree more, and also, why would low carbing make such a
difference in symptom reduction if IR were not an issue. Actually I
will rephrase that a little bit: I don't think EVERY woman with PCOS has
IR.... but I definitely DO think that every woman with PCOS has at
least some form of hyperinsulemia. Maybe this takes the form of insulin
surges that are really high, maybe it is a constant higher level (which
would account for the times when some women test just the higher end of
normal.) Even the PCOS gene is located close to the gene for diabetes.
Insulin is so involved in every aspect not only of cell metabolism but
every other endocrine function. There's no more likely suspect when it
comes to PCOS!
