Hi Kim and welcome, sorry to hear it's been such a struggle for you! I would go into the long details of all the hair loss stuff, but to save space I'll say I'm sorry, there are a few things to try (many of us have this too!) so run a search of the archives and you should come up with plenty of info!

As far as the bcp, if you are really uncomfortable taking it then there shouldn't be any reason for you to be on it. Ask your doc about insulin sensitizers like Metformin or Avandia (they help GREATLY with PCOS, even in women who are not currently insulin resistant.) Also look into low carbing as a way of helping your hormones get back where they should be. I wish you luck! Stick around for a while! :)
