Re: Glucophage dosage and spotting

Hi Linda,

I had a similar experience, have been on met, 2000 mg (upped from 1500)for 8 weeks or so. Haven't had a period since going off the pill in June until last week when I started spotting (but more than spotting). It wasn't like any of the periods I've had before. Very light for a period-not even soaking 1 tampon per day (sorry, gross). Very little cramping. I did the same thing though, questioned whether or not it was actually a period. It lasted about 7 days and has stopped completely, so I'm assuming it was a period.

I see my doc in a couple of weeks, so I'll ask her what she thinks. She had told me to expect the first period I got on the met to be heavy and to have bad cramping because it had been so long since I'd had one. That's why I wasn't sure one way or the other what it was. I'll post after I talk to her and let you know what she thinks. Good luck!
