i have wondered about this. i know i read in thatchers book that insulin sensitivity in the mother can affect the fetus by causing insulin sensitivity in the fetus... something like that... seems that if your insulin probs and hormones are controled via the met while preg, then MAYBE the baby will be healthier/less suspectable to PCOS once born... i dunno. i think using met is too new for there to be any long term studies on this... the oldest babies of met mothers are probably only 7 or 8 now, and that's only if some woman was lucky enough to have a really really progressive doctor in those days. 3 or 4 might be more average for the oldest met babies. either way it's not really old enough to see if PCOS will be a prob. *shrug*
