Met may increase the efficiency of Clomid, so yes you can be on both. I did two cycles and they had me days 5-9, though I know some docs have you do it as early as 3-7. I have never heard of 1-5, so it is worth a call to verify with them that they want you to do it this early. I was told my second time to take it 3-7 and questioned that, and sure enough they did want me to take it 5-9 so I was glad I got it straightened out. But maybe they have a special reason for you to do it then, so if you ask they should tell you or at least double check.

Regarding when you take the pills, Met is usually taken with meals and depending on your dose 2-3 times a day. Clomid is taken once a day and you can take it either morning or night, as long as you take it at the same time every day. I have heard (but not in time for my own use) that if you take it at bedtime each time, you will sleep through the side effects. Since I had a lot of trouble with side effects, I sure could have used this info. You be the judge.

One more thing about Met, there is increasing study that shows it is safe during pregnancy, so don't even consider not using both. Supposedly they both work better together, so you should do your best to get the max out of the Clomid so you can get on with your life and not have any doubts about whether it would have worked.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!!!!

>I sure hope someone can help me..... I did a few cycles of Clomid a few months ago and I SWEAR my Dr. at the time had me taking it days 5-9. Anyway, I have a new Dr. and he has prescribed Clomid for me also, but he wants me to take it days 1-5. Have any of you taken or heard of taking Clomid this early in the cycle? Also, I'm taking 1000 mg of Glucophage every day. Is it safe to take the Clomid and the Glucophage together, or should I take them at different times of the day?? Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks!
