RISKSFrom: jodi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Nov 2000 12:15:37 -0600 (CST)
first off let me say thanks to all the warm responses to my baby post. you guys make me feel ll warm and fuzzy and appreciated :) second... in a class today, religion in amaerican society, we were looking over responses to various surveys having to do wwith religious belifs and other aspects of life. (this is not a religious class, it's a history class... in case seeing religion here might make someone stop reaading. i'm not at a religious school.) so one thing that wwas studied was male vs. female belif in god. more females than males believ in god. my teacher said that this is maybe because males are bigger risk takers and the risk of going to hell is certainly a big risk. he then said males are thought to be bigger risk takers due to high testoserone. which got me thinking... i'm sure y'all can see where i'm heading. :) do all of you - or any of you - feel that you are more of a risk taker than the "average" woman? whatever the hell aaverge is? i mean, if it's a testosterone thing, we should be, right? i certainly don't think *i* am! granted, as a kid, i was pretty crazy ith riding my bike... but now adays i'm not a terribly risky individual at all. just something for discussion... - jodi
