Is anyone worried about passing this on to baby?

Like many of you out there, I would very much like to have a baby. However, after researching PCOS and reading the hard times that many of you have had because of it, aren't you concerned about passing it on to a baby since it seems to be hereditary? Are there any doctors doing research to try and determine what causes PCOS and narrowing it down so that we could at least receive testing to screen as to whether or not we will be passing it on?

Sorry to be a downer, but I would just hate to pass something on that would cause a kid to have health problems or the self-esteem problems that can be associated with PCOS.
