Andrea,

Welcome to our world! You basically have two options: If you like your doctor otherwise and feel that he/she is open to it, you can educate him/her. Do some research online, look back through the postings here for some really great info or buy Samuel Thatcher's book PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic. Option #2: find a doctor that is up to speed on PCOS.

You should definately take charge of your health. Find out if you really do have PCOS (sounds like it to me) and get a Dr. who can help you because, without care (yours AND the Dr.'s) you will only get worse.

Take charge!! Selena
