Re: Large Cyst with Blood, could be endometriosis

Frequently a cyst filled with blood and sometimes semi soft material is called a chocolate cyst because the dead blood turns brown. My experience has been that it will not resolve itself, as some other type of ovarian cysts do. My concern would be the longer you have this mass of endometrial tissue outside your uterus (where it really belongs) the more likely it is to proliferate through out the abdomen. Which was also my experience.
