Big time weight problem is high 400s--450plus, I was in the 600s, I am the heaviest PCOSer Ive met yet. Have known a few internet friends who hit 400s with PCOS but we are more rare. I weighed in 200s before I got sick for YEARS.

and i am >just totally lost in it. i feel like i cant even begin to think about

Thanks Ill email you later. ALl my weight loss was really helped by hormone pills and treatment for sleep apnea. Ive done a bit of lifestyle changes but it is an ongoing struggle. Im trying to eat as little processed food as possible, going health food route but its a struggle!

i would be interested in hearing from >you in private if you are willing to email me. i really need support on
>this issue.

As you can tell I do too, though I have lost weight due to its highness, I am in desperate fear of ever regaining any...when your body hits these high weights it breaks down. >
>as far as you not having a period since 1989...do you mean at all or
>just naturally?

I was still thin for me then, well in low 200s at 6 feet of height, was 210 that summer--spent summer hiking and being a camp counselor and I lost the period forever. It just stopped. Point blank! Doctors told me over and over it was stress from college graduation that was coming up. I also had the ancothisis nigroisis break out then and started getting the dirty neck comments.

Weight history goes like this:

age 16-26-210-250 Age -27 started to gain badly! 1995-1997--350lb weight gain high 200s to 630 1998 600s 1999 500s 2000 low 500s to high 400s.

Thyroid disease and steroid induced Cushings--doctors would tell oh your steroid inhaler isnt causing your weight...yeah RIGHT! found out later yes it can in rare individuals, actually all my problems started when I took prednisone for severe asthma too, at the same time as PCOS DID NOT HELP!

if you mean just you have not had one at all...you >really need to have your uterus checked out. even if you are not going
>to be able to have children, you do not want to ignore this. your
>uterine lining has been building up this entire time...it really needs

Oh once the PCOS was confirmed this spring--just got another opinion on Cushings, I had an ultrasound and my unterine lining was ok. One thing in my favor, I had gotten into a long term relationship in 1994--its now my marriage, and because of my health problems even with no period I was paranoid of getting pregnant--and I went on the pill which forced light periods....but I think this saved my life being on the pill so long.

>to be shed. at this point i would want an endometiral biopsy. i dont
>know if you and your doc have talked about this or not.

The lining turned out ok. One bad thing I am facing is when I was starting to gain hit high 200s low 300s, I couldnt get a pap smear done ever, they always complained they couldnt reach my cervix....my height? my weight? I tried 6 times and gave up and my now endo is like well you need to get this done, at this weight I dont see how it would be possible, I cant even lie flat on my back. I am low risk for cervical cancer , but I still worry. >
>Ill email you paula, I can talk to you about what has worked weight loss wise. I have to be so careful about food and many things as related to health. Thanks for answering.
